Text Box: Nicole Irene Gay is a poet, author,  publisher and playwright who has been writing since the age of 13. She describes her writing style as "conversational, clever, and provocative."   Nicole credits her gift to God and desires that everyone that hears her speak or reads her writing be empowered to know that they too can do "all things through Christ". Nicole has had the privilege of serving great men and women of God and it is through these high-level relationships that she has learned the importance of remaining faithful no matter what circumstances are presented.  She has been a blessed and favored member of the Rock DreamCentre, under the leadership of Apostle Bryant-Lee Phillips for the last 13 years.
Originally from Philadelphia PA, Nicole published her first book, How to be a STAR:  The Young Person's Guide to Living Your Dreams and Finding Success in 2003. In 2006, she created a literary tribute to Pastor Charlene Phillips of the Rock DreamCentre in Philadelphia.  This project is the 2007 published "FAITH for the Journey" book/journal which has sold over 1,000 copies.  In 2008, Nicole released her book called, “The Eighth Brother & Other Tales of Christian Living”.
Nicole is an entrepreneur who owns GEMS International, a publishing and motivational speaking company established in 2003. Through this company, Nicole created The PlayCousins, a Christian theatre troupe. Nicole has been consistently producing stage-plays since 2009: "In the Company of Queens" debuted in October 2009 to a sold-out audience at the Drexel University Mandell Theatre.   In March 2010, Nicole featured her second play, a comedy, called “The Funeral:  You Know How Folks Act” which sold out two shows.  Her third play, “The Post Office: The Longest Day Ever” premiered on June 18, 2010.   In 2011, Nicole will begin filming her first movie with the intention of submitting it for consideration for a Sundance film festival award.
After graduating from Central High School, Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and English from LaSalle University and her Masters of Science in education with a concentration in Human Resource Development in Business settings from Drexel University.  She is currently working toward a doctoral degree in education and plans to do her thesis on employee motivation and turnover in higher education.
